Ages 3 – 6 Years
Primary Program (Preschool & Kindergarten)
The Primary program is the cornerstone of the Montessori experience. In our multi-age classrooms serving children ages 3 to 6, children work at their own pace with a wide range of Montessori materials spanning practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, science, geography, and cultural studies.
The three-year cycle of the Primary program allows children to progress from being the youngest and newest members of the community to becoming the leaders and mentors of the classroom. This progression builds confidence, leadership skills, and a deep sense of community.

Kindergarten in the Montessori Classroom
At International Montessori Schools, kindergarten is not a separate program it is the culminating year of the three-year Primary cycle. Kindergartners serve as the leaders and role models of the classroom, reinforcing their own learning by helping younger children and taking on greater responsibilities.
Our kindergarten students are typically reading, writing, and working with advanced mathematical concepts, all within the context of a joyful, child-centered learning environment.
