We invite you to visit our newest location at Royersford. This spacious school has gorgeous classrooms with lots of natural light and conveniently located just of the 422 near Collegeville.

The Infant Program, for infants 6 weeks old through 18 months, is a classic Infant Montessori environment. Low shelving holds an array of exemplary Montessori materials for little ones to explore, and these materials are rotated to keep our tiniest students excited about learning! Our Infant Teachers assist in the development of children and oversee and guide every aspect of your infant’s day. Our teachers encourage bonding and maintain consistency throughout the day in order to foster a deep sense of security in the infant. Careful notes are kept of your child’s daily activities and developments, to share and discuss with parents each day. Peacefulness and busy activity are the cornerstones of The Infant Program at Royersford.

The Pre-Primary room at Royersford is a wonderful place for toddlers to grow and learn. The classroom is full of natural light and enchants busy explorers to discover the world around them with Montessori materials. The children enjoy building their sense of self through the main components of a Montessori classroom: care of environment, care of self, movement, language, and grace and courtesy. The children are fascinated with the many washing process opportunities. They love the repetition of making their own choice of “work,” placing it on a rug, and cleaning up their job when finished (“all by myself!”). The little ones light up to connect the first sound of their name with its symbol. “That’s MY letter!” they exclaim.

The Primary room for ages 3yrs through Kindergarten boasts a fantastic layout that encourages children to explore the beautifully crafted Montessori materials. The windows allow natural light to shine on the children counting beads, concretely practicing division, testing what floats and what sinks, or singing happily with friends. Upon entering you may notice how the children are so happily engaged and choosing challenging work without the aid of a teacher. Welcome to Montessori! A prepared environment calls to the child so strongly to engage, enrich, and explore. All are excited to play and learn: architects, artists, dreamers, mathematicians, dancers… children!

Infant (6 weeks through 18 months)

The Infant program is a loving, nurturing and beautiful environment that respects each infant's need for nurturing, physical contact, and developmental exploration. Respect is the touchstone for The Nest program. Respect in every encounter for each child's needs, routines, environment, development, and respect for the individual that he/she already is.

Pre-Primary (18 months through 3 years)

At this stage language development is actively pursued and it is imperative that your child is surrounded by rich and stimulating conversation. An 18 month old child, trying to blow bubbles, might be encouraged with "Blow! Can you make the air move just like the wind?" The toddler's mind absorbs the new vocabulary, which plants the seeds for reading, writing and self-expression in the future.

Our bright and sunny toddler classrooms are designed for children ages 18 to 36 months. It is a world scaled down to your child's size. Here your child paints, cooks, waters the garden, sweeps with miniature brooms, washes dishes and plays with materials that develop fine and gross motor coordination.

"Help me to do it by myself." Very young children working toward independence in eating, dressing and toileting are really working toward what they want to do. We take each child as an individual, allowing them to go at his or her own pace, to achieve their independence.

Making new friends and learning how to function within a classroom community is a life shaping experience for your child. Children emerge from the toddler program with strong friendships and confidence, ready to thrive in our Primary setting.

Primary (3-6 years)

International Montessori School's Primary program provides a rich, hands-on educational experience with didactic Montessori materials that develop concentration, coordination, independence, self-discipline and problem solving skills. Our dedicated, Montessori certified lead teachers and assistant teachers guide children through a specifically targeted curriculum designed for each individual child's needs to reach his own full potential.

Students are required to be 3 years old as of September 1st of the Academic year they are joining, and fully toilet-trained to enter this program.
